Biography
Dr. Wang is an Associate Professor in the School of Computing and the Founder Director of the Collaborative Robotics and Smart Systems Laboratory (CRoSS Lab) at Montclair State University. His research focuses on collaborative robotics, artificial intelligence, smart systems, and their synergistic CRoSS-disciplinary applications in smart manufacturing and remanufacturing, healthcare, smart ecosystem, intelligent transportation, smart agriculture, daily assistance, data science, cybersecurity, and interactive learning. Dr. Wang is the recipient of NSF CAREER, CRII, and MRI Awards. He is the recipient of the inaugural Montclair Presidential Excellence Award. The results of his work have been published in multiple peer-reviewed international journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. Dr. Wang is the recipient of IEEE R1 Technological Innovation (Academic) Award. He received several IEEE/ASME Best Paper/Presentation/Mentor Awards. Dr. Wang is the recipient of Montclair Advising Excellence Faculty Advisor Award. He develops numerous STEM education and outreach programs for pre-college, undergraduate, and graduate students. He is the Founder Advisor of Montclair Robotics Club and Advisor of IEEE Montclair Student Branch. Dr. Wang is the recipient of the IEEE SMC Chapter Initiative Award and IEEE STEM Champion Award. He is a senior member of IEEE and ACM and a member of ASME.
