Biography

Dr. Li received her PhD from the Department of Chemistry at The Graduate Center-City University of New York. Her graduate work focused on developing metal-free porous carbons as electrocatalysts for CO2 reduction. Her post-doctoral training is at the Department of Earth and Environmental Engineering, Columbia University, where she studied the gas phase reforming of biomass conversion and identified the fundamental pathways involved in the thermochemical conversion of brown seaweed to hydrogen. Dr. Li is a member of the Carbon Society, the American Chemical Society, and the Electrochemical Society. She has authored or co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed papers.
