Victor Metallo

Biography

Dr. Metallo holds an LLM in Secuities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center. His Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was the Business Editor for the Seton Hall Circuit Review. While in law school, he published three scholarly law review articles on jurisdiction and First Amendment law with the Washington and Lee Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice, University of Detroit Mercy Law Review, and Dartmouth Law Journal. Dr. Metallo was a law clerk for the Hon. Ronald B. Graves, J.A.D. He worked for various federal and state judges, and federal and state offices, including the Office of Attorney General, Securities Fraud Prosecution Section, and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Appellate Section. Dr. Metallo received his master’s degree of business administration in marketing management from St. John’s University, where he completed a summer session in global finance at the London School of Economics. He also holds a master’s degree in general professional education with a concentration in legal studies from Seton Hall. Dr. Metallo studied in Rome and at Ave Maria School of Law. He authors and moderates the “Blog Business Law” blogsite, an educational resource in business law. Dr. Metallo co-authored a Products Liability textbook and edited a business law textbook entitled the Legal Environment of Business. He also published articles in the New Jersey Appellate Law Blog, The Originalism Blog, and The Constitutional Law Reporter. In addition to jurisdiction and First Amendment law, his research interests include financial services compliance, white collar crime, and legal issues in forensic accounting.
