Theodore Hoelter

Biography

Theodore Hoelter is the Staff Carpenter for the University Scene Shop at Life Hall. He previously served as Carpenter and Adjunct Professor at MSU, helping students to produce scenery for the Department of Theatre and Dance. Since moving to New Jersey ten years ago, Theodore has worked with regional theatres such as The George Street Playhouse, Two River Theatre Company, and The State Theatre of New Jersey; as well as Maplewoodshop, an education company bringing woodworking to elementary and secondary school-aged children; and building cabinetry and furniture for clients in New Jersey and Manhattan. In his private life, he enjoys Opera, and Medieval History. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Theodore earned a bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University in 2001, where he studied music and worked in the University theatre.
