Biography

Rae Wilkins is an adjunct instructor and Academic Success Coach at Montclair State University. She teaches Personal Health Issues, Perspectives on Drugs, and Introduction to Public Health with the Public Health department; as well as Introduction to Psychology with the Psychology Department. As an instructor both on campus for college students, and off campus for high school students with the Red Hawks Rising program, she encourages examining health disparities and social justice issues via the social determinants of health.

As an Academic Success Coach, she collaborates with students to identify obstacles and create solutions that allow students to achieve their academic goals.

A Montclair State alumni, she has a B.A. in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies and a Master of Public Health.

Her academic interests include comprehensive sexuality education for youth and LGBTQ+ wellness.
