Biography

Michael Padilla has been dedicated to education since 2004. He began his career as a Communication Arts & Media teacher at West Milford High School before advancing to roles as Assistant Director of Technology Media Services in Upper Saddle River and Assistant Principal in Ho-Ho-Kus Public School. He is honored to now serve as the Director of Instructional Technology for Newark Public Schools.

Throughout his career, Michael has recognized that the greatest impact on students comes from building meaningful connections and helping them understand that learning extends beyond grades. As an educational technology leader, he believes technology can enhance and transform education in positive ways. He is committed to fostering equitable, positive, and consistent communication with all stakeholders to ensure staff understand how to best implement these changes. Michael is passionate about continuing to make a profound and positive impact on student well-being and success.
