Biography
Specializations include American Studies and writing within and across the disciplines. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses on nineteenth- and twentieth-century America literature, with a focus on Realism and Naturalism, the Lost Generation, the Harlem Renaissance, and representations of the American West. My research centers on the intersections of class, ethnicity, gender, identity, and race in American cultural studies, particularly in the period from the 1890s to WW II.
