Biography

Meghann Smith, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Sustainability Science in the Department of Earth and Environmental Studies. She conducts interdisciplinary qualitative and quantitative environmental, economic, and policy research by applying technical, strategic, and critical analysis techniques including life cycle analysis, environmental impact assessment, environmental economic analysis, suitability analysis, statistic analysis, and survey work exploring subjects including stakeholder outlooks, public preferences and behaviors, and willingness to pay/accept. Her work has been applied to state, regional, national, and international projects. Her ongoing research projects involve aspects of clean energy development, sustainable agricultural and natural resource management, environmental impact assessment, environmental economic analysis, and environmental anthropology.
