Biography

Dr. Kate Nealon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Montclair State University. She is a Child Language Board Certified (BC-CLS) and ASHA certified speech-language pathologist (SLP) with extensive clinical experience working with children and adults in medical settings.

At Montclair State University, she explores interprofessional and clinically relevant research questions centered on the influence of impaired motor speech skills on both language acquisition during development and language recovery.

Dr. Nealon earned a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Virginia and a Ph.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University.
