Jeremy Marousis-Bush

Biography

Jeremy is an Adjunct Professor of Writing at Montclair State University. He routinely teaches WRIT-105, College Writing I, and WRIT-106, College Writing II.

He has a diverse educational background with a BA in English from Union College (KY) and an M.Ed from Monmouth University. He is currently working on a PH.D. in Leadership with a Concentration in English at the University of the Cumberlands. He plans to write a dissertation on overcoming English & composition instructor objections to integrating artificial intelligence in the curriculum and classroom.

Jeremy is a full-time Lecturer at Fairleigh Dickinson University and also teaches as an adjunct at Monmouth University and Brookdale Community College. He teaches a wide variety of composition classes at FDU. He teaches first-year composition and PR-425, Critical Play: Theories and Aesthetics of Video Games, at Monmouth University. He teaches various courses, both in person and online, from developmental English to research writing at Brookdale Community College.

In the past, Jeremy taught 8th grade English/Language Arts at West Pine Middle School (West End, NC) and Spring Hill Middle School (Laurinburg, NC). He also worked for 10 years (and medically retired) with the United States Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, at duty stations in Kentucky, New Jersey, and New York.

Jeremy has a large family that includes a rambunctious little English Lop bunny (Floppy). If you take any of his classes, expect to hear about the bunny's exploits.

Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, writing poetry, playing video games, feeding Floppy carrots, and reading the amazing work that his students produce.
