Biography

Broadly, my research explores the developmental psychopathology of anxiety and depression. More specifically, I examine the interplay of temperament and emotion regulation with various environmental factors in a child’s life (e.g. parenting behaviors, life events) to understand why some children develop internalizing problems and others don’t. I am also interested in early interventions for anxiety, with a particular focus on school mental health and dissemination issues. That is, a) how do we most effectively deliver interventions in school settings where we can reach the most children and b) how do we sustain it?
