Jacqueline Miron

Biography

Within the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies at Montclair State University, Jacqueline serves an instructor for the asynchronous undergraduate course, Dynamics of Food & Society. She is responsible for the development of instructional content, designing Canvas modules that transform the curriculum into a high-engagement virtual learning experience. By leveraging inclusive digital pedagogy and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) frameworks, Jacqueline builds multimodal pathways that ensure accessibility for diverse learners. She utilizes emerging technologies to maintain high-touch student engagement while aligning online instructional strategies with course goals for student retention and success.

In 2018, she curated and stewarded a free public seed library in response to environmental and food injustice, providing regional seed and food sovereignty education through hands-on workshops and speaking engagements. Jacqueline partnered with a NYC-based cultural institution to build and program an ethnobotanical seed garden. Her work has also included conference presentations and large group facilitation, such as leading the Seed Ethics Intensive at the 10th Annual Organic Seed Growers Conference, as well as presenting at the Stone Barns Young Farmers & Chefs Conference and the Northeast Organic Seed Growers Conference.
