Biography

Taiwanese harpsichordist Dr. Hsuan-Wen Chen has a Masters & Doctor of Musical Arts degree in harpsichord performance from Stony Brook University as well as a Bachelor & Masters in piano performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Based out of New York City, Chen is currently on the faculty at Montclair State University where she directs the Collegium Musicum, Baroque Ensemble, and teaches harpsichord. Dr. Chen also co-directs the Baroque Academy and serves on faculty for the Amherst Early Music Festival, the largest early music festival in the United States. Through her concert and festival experience, Dr. Chen has had the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from around the world.
