Biography
Glenda James is a clinical social worker, educator, and mentor, merging the fields of social work and early education. She has been teaching social work students for over 10 years and has been in the field of social work and education for over 20 years. She is passionate about creating a safe environment for children and adults allowing them to flourish and explore their worlds. Glenda has served in the capacity of Director of an Early Learning Center focusing on trauma informed care for children and families. She is the Executive Director of MPowering Solutions, LLC where she provides counseling, educational and social emotional consulting. Glenda is currently a clinical consultant with Montclair State University for the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Department, where she supports centers, families, and children to help them reach their full potential. This work is done in a supportive and reflective stance. Glenda is a member of the Infant Mental Health Association where she serves as an active member of the early childhood community. She takes pride in supporting families and children during challenging life transitions.
