Biography

Asiah Lemon serves as a Pre-Medical Program Advisor at Montclair State University, supporting students pursuing careers in medicine, dentistry, physician assistant studies, occupational therapy, nursing, and other health professions. As a first-generation college graduate, she understands the importance of having guidance and support while navigating higher education. She provides individualized assistance with academic planning, clinical experiences, application preparation, and professional development.
Asiah also helps support the university’s Pre-Medical Program by coordinating mentorship opportunities, workshops, campus partnerships, and student programming. She secured a $10,000 grant to provide free Basic Life Support certification training to 100 Montclair State students. She is also a member of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions and recently presented at its national conference.
Asiah is passionate about helping students, (especially those unfamiliar with the pre-health journey) gain knowledge, learn to advocate for themselves, and develop the confidence needed to reach their goals.
Education: Master of Public Administration, with a focus in Nonprofit Management and Educational Leadership, University of Delaware
