Biography
Courses I teach in the Justice Studies program include: Homeland Security, White Collar Crime, Gangs in America, and the Senior Seminar and Internship.
Research
I am currently the Assistant Special Agent in Charge, with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations field office, located in New Jersey.I became a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in 2003 and have enjoyed every minute of it. I have been assigned to work in many different field offices to include: New York, Washington, DC, Brazil, and Argentina where I was assigned for a period of 3 years to run our Homeland Security Investigations, Buenos Aires office.
I have also traveled on long term international assignments to various countries to include: Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Canada, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Chile. I am currently assigned to the Homeland Security Investigations New Jersey Field office, where I oversee several groups of Special Agents and Task Force officers investigating Crimes such as Money laundering, Narcotics violations, Cyber cases, Gang investigations, Customs Fraud, Trademark Violations, Human Trafficking and the Sexual exploitation of children.
Through the course of my career, I have worked with various investigators, prosecutors, and judges with the common goal of putting people in jail and making the world a safer place. I truly enjoy working for the Department of Homeland Security. The work is challenging and rewarding at the same time. I hope that I can share my experiences with you all and provide an insight of what a Special Agent's role is within the Department of Homeland Security.
