Explore Prestigious Scholarships and Fellowships
For Scholarships requiring Institutional Endorsement: All interested students must first consult with a scholarship advisor before applying for any prestigious scholarship that requires institutional endorsement. You must be selected by Montclair State University through an internal application process to be eligible. You can apply to any scholarship(s) that do not require an endorsement, though it is encouraged that you seek additional guidance and assistance with your application first.
Barry Goldwater Scholarship
The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program awards scholarships to current sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue careers in the fields of science, mathematics, and engineering. All current sophomores and juniors majoring in these fields who are U.S. citizens, Permanent Residents, or U.S. Nationals, and have a GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible to apply. The scholarship provides up to $7,500 annually for eligible educational expenses.

Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellowship
The Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellowship is a highly esteemed program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by Howard University. Named in honor of former Congressman and diplomat Charles B. Rangel, this fellowship aims to attract and prepare outstanding individuals for careers in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State.

Critical Language Scholarship
Intensive summer language immersion program for undergraduate or graduate students to study less-commonly taught languages.

Fulbright Scholarship
For recent graduates or graduate students to spend a year abroad conducting research, teaching English or studying. Strong cultural exchange component.

Gates-Cambridge
Each year Gates Cambridge offers full-cost scholarships to outstanding applicants from countries outside the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge.
Gilman Scholarship
Financial support between $3,500 and $5,000 to study abroad as an undergraduate.
Marshall Scholarship
Finances young Americans of high ability to study for a graduate degree in the United Kingdom.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, this fellowship offers unparalleled support for students with a keen interest in diplomacy and public service.
