Human Research Protection Program (HRPP)

Montclair State University’s Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) reflects the University’s institutional commitment to conducting ethical, responsible research involving human participants. The HRPP ensures compliance with federal and state regulations while promoting respect for individuals who volunteer for research. Through education, policy development, oversight, and the work of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), the HRPP supports investigators in designing and conducting research that upholds the highest standards of integrity and participant protection.

The purpose of this website is to provide investigators and the research community at Montclair State University with the information and materials that are needed to obtain IRB approval of research that involves human participants.
