Patents and Inventions
All University personnel (faculty, staff, and students) are subject to the University’s Policy on Patents and Inventions. The Patent Advisory Committee advises the Vice Provost for Research, Provost, and University Counsel regarding faculty, staff and student inventions on which the University may choose to file a patent application. Inventors are required to complete and submit the Invention Disclosure Form. Inventors must use the University’s Invention and Patent Agreement Form in connection with research with third parties and students.
