The PSEG ISS Green Teams are transdisciplinary student teams that partner with corporations, organizations, non-profits, municipalities, and community groups to address significant sustainability issues. This multi-institutional internship program is open to upper-level undergraduates (exceptional rising sophomores may also be considered) from any discipline who are interested in sustainability. Teams of five students are formed from a competitive pool of applicants across many disciplines and institutions, and whose backgrounds match those required to achieve deliverables requested by the hosting organizations. To ensure students deliver high-quality results, PSEG ISS provides training on core sustainability topics, hands-on experience with sustainability skills, guidance in professional development, communication, and team building.

The 2027 program will run from May 24th, 2027 - August 5th, 2027. Stipends of $7,500 are planned for summer 2027. On-campus housing is available at Montclair State University for those who request it. The deadline to submit your application is FRIDAY, JANUARY 29th, 2027 @ 11:59 PM ET. Required application components include:

• 3-short answer essay responses
• Most recent academic transcript
• Clear indication of work authorization in the US
• Names and contact information for 3 professional references

The 2027 program will utilize a 100% in-person modality. Please plan to be in-person unless circumstances change.
