The Animation, Film, and Television (AFTV) program at Montclair State University is where storytellers, content creators, and media innovators come together. Whether you're directing your next short film, animating a digital series, or developing a screenplay, AFTV gives you the tools, mentorship, and creative community to bring your vision to life. AFTV prepares students for careers in film, television, animation, and digital media through a curriculum that balances production practice with critical thinking. Students gain experience in directing, writing, cinematography, editing, animation, and emerging media — working with professional-grade equipment from day one.
