What We Do

This functional area leads the planning, evaluation, and execution of real estate and economic development strategies that support the University’s mission and enhance the region’s economic vitality.  

Key Focus Areas

Planning and implementation of campus development projects, public-private partnerships, acquisitions, leases, and joint ventures that support the University's long-term growth and strategic objectives.

Advancing student, faculty, and staff housing opportunities, including the management of select University-controlled off-campus housing assets, to support recruitment, retention, and campus vitality.

Collaborating with municipalities, government agencies, anchor institutions, and community organizations to advance economic opportunity, placemaking, and regional prosperity.

Developing innovation centers, corporate partnerships, accelerator programs, and research collaborations that connect academia, industry, and entrepreneurship.

Securing grants, sponsorships, philanthropic support, and private investment to advance strategic initiatives and catalytic development projects.
