We invite faculty new to teaching at Montclair to this 90-minute information session. We will orient faculty in navigating the University and its systems. We will introduce you to key resources related to teaching: using the Montclair Syllabus, anchoring course plans with course objectives and learning outcomes, finding resources to support teaching excellence, and supporting students through the Strong Student Campaign. There will be time for your questions, ideas, challenges, and other topics concerning getting started with teaching. This workshop will be repeated through the summer. Faculty experienced teaching at other institutions are encouraged to attend.
We recommend that faculty have their NetID before attending this session, although it is not mandatory.
