Fall 2027 Consideration - Preferred Deadlines

Application Completed: December 1st, 2026

Pre-Screen Video Submission: December 15th, 2026

Notification of Invite to Formal Audition: January 15th, 2027

Applicants who meet the preferred deadlines above, and complete a successful pre-screen process will be invited to complete a formal audition at either of the dates below:

• February 6th, 2027 1:00-7:00pm
• February 13th, 2027 1:00-7:00pm

In-person formal auditions are preferred, video submissions are acceptable

Please note that this audition process is for students who missed the preferred application and pre-screen deadline. Therefore, scholarship availability and program slots may be limited. Applicants who submit a successful pre-screen will be invited to complete a formal audition at the date below:

• Saturday, April 3rd 1:00-7:00pm

In-person formal auditions are preferred, video submissions are acceptable

Note: Due to the nature of our formal audition process, applicants are unable to choose the time of their audition. Instead, your audition time will be assigned to you. Please hold the full afternoon of your audition date until you have received your assigned audition schedule. 

Pre-Screen Repertoire Requirements

Applicants must prepare pieces that fit the formal audition repertoire requirements for their desired major. This means that the requirements for the formal audition, and the requirements for the pre-screen videos are the same. If invited to complete a formal audition, applicants may substitute pieces, as long as the repertoire requirement is still met. 

For example: One Italian aria or art song

Applicants may present an aria during the pre-screen process and then an art song for the formal audition, as both options meet the requirement. Applicants may also choose not to substitute pieces, and may present the same pieces for both pre-screens and the formal audition. 

Additionally, applicants must take care to prepare contrasting works to fulfil the requirements - in this instance, “contrasting” means the pieces should differ in at least one of the following ways: style/period, tempo, or character.

All repertoire selections must be performed from memory. Accompaniment is required - a live pianist is strongly preferred; however quality recorded accompaniment is acceptable for students who are unable to arrange for a live accompanist. In the rare instance a piece is designed to be performed a cappella, accompaniment is not required.
